Went through all my rods and reels today and chucked out some of the junk I had sitting around. This is what I'm keeping from ultralight up to surf rigs. The 2 far left are "maybe " at the moment.
Definitely need 1/2 more medium heavy or so rods and I don't think I will have to ever buy another one.

Cheap? Inexpensive and built well, lol. My first fly rod was a yellow Eagle Claw 8-foot. I finally somehow got one after seeing all the fish rising for insects.
I fish Pine Creek quite a bit, which has become a "destination" for some fisherman over the years. You want to see a "flatlander's" head explode, hook a nice brown on either of those fly rods while his decked out gloomis ass is still trying to figure out what the guide meant by "mend your line mid drift."

Certain parts can. Especially Slate Run area up to the gorge. Luckily, it's mostly a trout season thing. I prefer the small mouth and Walleye fishing in the warmer weather myself and I generally stick to Waterville south to the river.

One of my fly rods in the Eagle claw that goes both ways, fly or spin.
It's 2024, it only matters what it "identifies" as.
