    Shout out to SL!

100%. You throw things. You catch on something. You throw that more. You catch more on it. Rinse/repeat.

    Eclipse

We watched it, but had to keep waiting for clouds to pass. Still pretty cool. We can say we saw it, and we have glasses for next time in '44 sposedly.

    Opening

Only fishing for lung oysters here. The nurses are going after finless browns under the patients but I don't want any part of that.

No longer top secret skunk works UFO project

Ghost riding (as they call it) was fun a couple times but going up stream in the creek was why I banged away on this for a year and a half. Come summer, I'll motor up to the riffles, jump out and drag through, then motor though the next run and pool... Don't need a shuttle buddy or service...

    What did you Catch Today?

I've had that experience big time motorizing the yak. The youtubers edit all of the problems out before they post their videos :ROFLMAO:

Creek was 466 FT3/S at the Inwood gauge and 1160 at Hershey, so pretty fast. Not a day to be out there without a motor unless you know what you are doing.

5 minutes of me learning to drive with the stern motor on Swatara Creek today. Definitely want to Switch out the PWM for either a wireless ESC , or at least switch the SAE connections out for Anderson connections. But then I will have to add a kill switch. Other than that, I should have done...

    What did you Buy Today?

Tried several times in the past week. We have entered 'trash can hunt' season here. If you leave a trash can outside unattended right now it will wander off and go visit other streets and possibly neighborhoods. This week is packed work wise so will try again next week if the winds have died...

The safety on the PWM is that I attach a lanyard to the SAE cord that connects the battery to the control box. If I fall out it pulls the power cord out. I tried installing a commercial safety and it was a real PITA and broke in the process. My advice to anyone looking to do something like...

    What did you Buy Today?

Didn't buy it today, but installed it yesterday. Boonedox Groovy Console. Metal, can be directly mounted or in gear tracks like I did it. Provides a track across the kayak. Lots of guys mount screens there, and if I ever upgrade I might do that. But my main plan is to put a Bullwinkle on it...

    Seeing whats down there

I'm thinking about dispensing with the sonar, and just using the down imaging until I can upgrade to a side imaging unit.
