My 7.3 the gear is stripped or something in seat. Always has been in the 10 yrs I’ve owned it. I thought of fixing a few times but it’s perfect for me and no one messes with my adjustments because at 6’3” no one else in the house fits it.

I’ve had a few rentals like that too. It doesn’t seem like they use proportional measurements.

Seems tarpon gear is like Tuna though I’m sure the real big tuna offshore stuff is heavier maybe. That knot I’m looking at is tuna and 250lbs tarpon.

Thanks Mel, I had a lot of issues with knot breaks a few years ago. A-5 had me switch to Palomar and that’s all I really use aside from my oddball Fly line setup. Wasn’t sure with this. Read leader needs to be longer than fish due to how rough their scales are.
