It is a warm water species lake. That does not stop the fish commission from stocking it lol. Trout cant survive the summer in most of the lakes they stock around here. Harveys, Winola, Oxbow are the only real holdover lakes in my area. Its no Upper Woods for sure.

I'm reasonably close, 20 miles? or so. Never on my goto list. All my info is from others I know that visit there. Trout struggle to make it thru the summer, not a great population of anything. Occcasional giant bass. Crappie can be ok thru the ice can be decent but spotty.

Got out with my son this morning. Good time getting a bit of everything. Smallie, pickerel, bluegills, perch, crappies and even a fallfish. Bite was a little slower. Water temp dropped 4 dergees since Wed.

They moved from yesterday. Where I caught them yesterday was also empty. Had to look around. Smaller fish in the channel in 31 to 35'. Found them moved in a bit, 20 to 23'. 2.5 keitech. Kept 14 perch, 8 calico. The perch should spawn any day now so that bite will slow up til they group up in June.

No. This was the Wallenpaupack. Found a group of fish in he river. There is a good push of fish that spawn up there. Oddly they werent in the channel but on the flat in 5 to 7'. Got a few on the main lake that were deeper. Wait ti you see todays!!!!!!!

It ain't spring around here!! 10:30 am its 22* and an inch of snow down and still coming. Didnt break above freezing yesterday. At 7am it was 19* here, 14* at Prompton. Most lakes in the northern areas of NEPA are still frozen. Guys still on 6 -7" at Belmont lake Thursday.

Too late to go digging. I fish mainly at night. Spinnerbait is king. Copper colorado, moderate steady retrieve. In the fall I throw dbl willows. A lot of chartruse blades then. fast retrieve. Thats it. Spinnerbaits are shallow water baits. Too many other options if fishing deeper
