Take a piece of grass,stick or some kind of indicator on the line about 4 to 8 feet pass your rod tip to see those light biters a lot of times they come straight at ya

What kinda weight rig are you using?

Bronze or black nickel normally once in a while stainless and red but never dull nickel and I think powder coated hooks catch more fishermen than fish.

Some egg hooks for some estaz eggs,a little funky colored marabou and some beads and such patterns to come later.
