Cape May they were catching limits in 3 hours on the charters I talked to. The one we crabbed on had taken 10 keepers with 4 really big ones that morning. I caught a small one in a crab trap but not sure that counts.

I might, when you’ve got it flaunt it. Plus, it helps remind the misses why she tolerates me,,,

Was def nice when we moved in but cutting those gutters French drain across left a big strip to fill. Then the runoff spot held a pond so I ground it down. The guy just paved over that runoff instead of slabbing it out and replacing like I thought. Only reason I’m indifferent is it cost what he...

I am with you but the guy hasn’t been back. It wasn’t in terrible shape even with the work we did but he didn’t want to slab cut the bad area/trench I cut and do that 1/3 of drive. He filled the trench and dumped a bunch on top of existing in another area essentially doing nothing there. Plan...

I feel your pain, repaved the entire lower driveway - $14k, still need to seal upper driveway for now. It’ll need to be milled and repaved at some point soon. Running heavy equipment on it did it no favors. It was in good shape but we needed to cut a trench for drain pipe. That drive will hurt...

Cape May NJ next week, Charters/species recommendation?

Yeah, offshore runs like that are way too long (and pricey considering fuel is extra) I don’t see my 6 yo lasting 20-30 hrs and landing 4-600 lbs fish. Saw some inshore kite deals but most start June 1. I messaged a few charters from a 4 hr crab on trot line deal to trolling for smaller pelagic...

Cape May NJ next week, Charters/species recommendation?

Anything being caught trolling? Sounds like if I want that I might be looking at Canyons for tuna as my only option? Kite fishing might be fun too.

Cape May NJ next week, Charters/species recommendation?

Not a huge fan of NJ but haven’t been to Cape May or even NJ beaches in 15 years or more. Not sure what the area is like. I’m sort of spoiled by lower OBX, SC Sea Islands, etc.

Cape May NJ next week, Charters/species recommendation?

Fly to Louisville in AM, back Wed to leave with fam for Cape May Thurs. Supposed to do something for my recent uncelebrated 40th. Any recommendations on species or types of charters to look at? Might be too short notice to book but looking now. My 10 yo wants to try crab digging?? I looked at...

Realized I wanted to carry dual rods again but no desire for the dual rod pack on my back all day. I decided to get this instead. We’ll see how it works with just the swing away waist setup. Might add the magnet tip portion to the new pack if it has a mounting point in a good location.

I like obnoxious bright colors, lol. It helps when you set it down. Camo everything or OD green most gear is gets lost. I like pink floats too. When 3-5 guys drifting a slot the bright pink stands out. You’ll laugh but in Erie with some old guys we’ve lost track of whose float just dropped or...

Best advice you gave me, Okuma. My trout reel isn’t as smooth as cheaper models but the steelhead/salmon model you recommended is pretty fantastic for the low cost. It doesn’t get much use but a few others that use my custom stuff used it and all where happy with performance. Held a 45 lbs...
