    Blue Marsh

I imagine they eat eggs of everything lol. Alewives should make striper and walleyes pretty easy. Fish the alewife spawn May into July. Night fishing. Pretty cut and dry. Topwater, stickbait, swimbaits where the alewives are spawning. Not hard to find those areas. You'll hear then busting.

Idk, Kinda doubt it. It keeping the Lackawaxen up but I dont think it would have a big effect on the Delaware.

    Pau Pack

The Pack is at what is supposed to be its low point. I think only the state ramp is left open now. Buddies did a tourney Sunday and said it was ok. There are parking curbs across the bottom of the ramp. They are about 2' from the end of the pad. Keep in mind they are there to warn you not to go...

    Frances E Walter Dam

According to their page the dam is at winter pool. 1300. Dropped 50 feet in a week. From what I've heard this is when it fishing get really good.

    Leader

I've landed muskies on 6 or 8 pound mono while jigging for walleyes in the river. But I've lost way more than I've landed. Its more luck then anything with that tackle. Braid is the worst for toothies. A lot of the guys that fish for pike thru the ice say floro leader. Not line but leader...

    Harveys Lake

You're out off a flat. Shallow with good size rocks and some scattered weeds. It drops on three sides.Drop quick to the 30s then into the 50s off the outside edge. It goes from the boathouse on your left shoulder for about 100 feet to the left.

    Harveys Lake

Fish Commish denies stocking them in Pa. I don't know many people that believe that. They appeared in lakes around around here about the same time so random arrivals seems odd. I'm sure fishermen put them and some walleyes in Lake Silkworth since thats basically private.

    Harveys Lake

They're a non native part of the eco system. Like everything else, pro and cons. Lots of lakes around here have them now. Harveys, Pack, Slocum, Lilly, Duck Harbor. All were good lakes before alewives, most as good or better after.

    Harveys Lake

99% private. Hundreds of docks ring the lake. State launch is the only real access. There's big everything in Harveys. Can be a tough lake. Almost 700 acres, 9 miles around, 90+' deep. LOTS of alewives.

    Getting Set.

I'm strictly panfish on the ice. No tip ups. I use ice rods. 24 - 28". 2 - 4# line. 3,4,5mm tungsten jigs. once in a while a small spoon.

    Getting Set.

Just load up and go! Pick up bait when we get a deep freeze. My ice tackle is pretty much organized when I put it away. Not a lot too it. Scouting isnt always an option. Where you want to look at might not be safe. Unless you're with people that have experience with ice stay near the crowd. I...

    Pau Pack

They've been running water full bore since Labor Day. The only time they slowed down was during Ida. The lake came back up 4 feet. Ida really messed up their plan. No water thru the dam, just the pipes. They should reach the target level by Sunday/Monday.

    Pau Pack

State ramp is still open. Caffery, Ledgedale and Wilsonville aren't good. State launch was fine Saturday. My buddy was at a tourney. The lake came up .35' from the rains and is dropping again. By the weekend it might be getting tougher. With a bigger boat your trailer might drop off the end of...
