    I hate you Crankbait!

Cranks tend be shorter and fatter and have a larger bill or lip. They also tend to have a wider variety of lip or bill shapes. They tend to be deeper diving, usually below 3'. They tend to be used more in lakes. Jerks tend to be longer and skinnier and have a shorter bill. They tend to have...

    I hate you Crankbait!

I have some, and have messed with them some. Only caught a couple of fish on the. Oddly they were sunfish that were smaller than the crank baits. I don't think I ever gave cranks a sufficient try. I've been meaning to get around to them again and just haven't done it. So maybe this year...

    Z-man Baits

Last year I decided to really try out the Z man stuff. I bought an assortment of baits and jigs. I don't remember the exact price. But I remember wincing enough at checkout that the Bass Pro cashier asked if I was OK ;)

    Z-man Baits

If you guys are holding my feet under water while my top half reaches for something 8 feet down then I will already be out of my vessel ;) As for getting them stuck in fingers, how do you think I was going to get them off the log? In my experience the log will tear before I do ;)

    Z-man Baits

Let's see, I'm 5'11", and my arms are fairly long. If you and Don hold my feet about 2' underwater I bet I can reach 'em ;)

    Z-man Baits

lol, not only do I do everything I can to retrieve my own snagged baits, of any kind, in water or in air, but I try to figure out how to retrieve other people's if I see them hanging there.

    Baitcasters

Not specifically a baitcaster question, but more of a lure question. I've had these for a long time but never used them much. the swivel is sliding up the wire and that is changing how they perform. With the 2nd bait pictured it interfered with one of the spinners. What do I do about that?

    Baitcasters

I actually got out there again Monday and think I have the hang of it now. Not that I'm good, but just that I'm functional. So thank you everyone who gave useful advice, so that's everyone but Don ;). Have another question but the pics are still on my phone so I'll try to post it later.

Was up nawth for job #2 today and tried to check out FEW on my way home. Could only find 2 roads approaching the lake, one to the boat launch and one to the kayak launch. Both gates were closed. Ran by Memorial on the way home too, just to look. 2 yaks on the water, no boats, and bank...

    Baitcasters

Check Ollies if you have one near you. That's where my first fly rod came from. The old guy who was teaching me and gave it to me had found it there and liked to pick up a few to give away every year when they got them in.
