guard your young trees and nursery stock, that's a lot of Velvet to come off.

8 legal so far and at least 3 definite shooters. Heck any legal I’d shoot unless it’s a basket young one and even those are at risk after the first week or two lol.

Yep, I always have metal mesh and fencing up. A few I need to put back up since moving stuff. Have a half dozen new heirloom cider apples/pears, 3 hybrid chestnuts, a peach, a few yoshino cherries, dogwoods, even the blackberries, etc. are mostly fenced. They started eating hostas against the front of the house too so I spray those. I think I counted 45 deer in the short 1/4 mile drive down the hill and we are on a peninsula above the gorge basically so all those deer are residents in the estates. The hiking trails almost never have a tree not scarred each year. The road at my stand is lined with long deformed trees on both sides.

Well we tested the I have a 7:30 at night guy last night. My son moved up more North let’s say. Last night he shot a buck and Grem and his brother came and did all the work!😂😂. Can’t thank them enough. Nice to have people that have a bigger heart than yourself and that’s grem and his brother. Thanks Grem!

Ahh, A-5 found it by himself ahead of us despite my attempts to show off my tracking skills lol.

Shows good people are still around. When’s the last time someone let a kid hunt by knocking on a door? Have to bring her a pie or something.

I thought we were going to track a doe. When we got there and your son said “he ran that way” I realized it was a buck. Heck I’d track a wounded bull frog, I like to track. Too bad our literal tracking dog is a glorified house cat. Wirehaired Dachshund I was sold by wife as a hunting dog. Knew as soon as she asked where the dog would stay while I’m hunting I had been duped 😂

He’s hunted exactly 0 days in 10 years. It got down to negotiating “visitation rights” every other Saturday, maybe not a full day, he’ll get cold. I gave in to a stumpy legged house pet.

In seriousness A-5s boy made a great shot and once we cleared the valley of thorns it was easy tracking. Fortune favored the bold. My luck she’d have drawn on me for asking 😂

And a bear decided to hang under me last night. I didn’t dare move to get a pic or look down but tree was shaking a bit lol. No clue but not the same one I had in pics from “Garbage eve” I didn’t see a white chevron on this one.

A lot of daylight under this one. I’m guessing it’ll maybe hit 135-150 but wouldn’t be surprised at 125. Meh, easier to get out anyway and I’ve a tanned one, a second hide in freezer, and an MIA hide a taxi lost. We’ve had two jumbos at the house tearing stuff up, a big one that clawed my neighbors truck bed to get in for garbage, and a big one on my neighbors deck.

This one has no qualms about walking into yards. There’s someone doing yard work 75 yards from it in these pics.

I’m going with being hand fed. Some neighbor has pics of probably hundreds of bears over decades being hand fed. A church guy showed me a video of 3 jumbos eating cake out of another old guys lap in our neighborhood. Old church guy was up on deck not having any part in the taming process.

He just got a cut. No more hippy dread lock dog. Seen here with my mom’s replacement for me. I swear her male dog gets more effeminate every time I see it. She had it in a stroller with hair bows last time,,,,it’s supposed to be a dog. My dog barks and rubs around her shitzu Pomeranian thing has a look of mild disgust at the indignity of being around another dog.IMG_0021.jpeg

Show your son these! Found by a neighbor who’s been busy transplanting new trees all over the woods and his yard past years. Cathleen said I’ve to freeze them before planting. It’s why I keep her around. For the brainy stuff. Not sure the little ones. Where in a shell similar to other tree nuts. Big round but these aren’t dark or spiked shells or at least not now. Found on edge of Leaser Lake. IMG_0587.jpegIMG_0588.jpeg
