I have serious issues

my trolling motor is Kaput. The seals leaked and it filled with water. The brushes are in need of replacement and the main bearing is stuck.
I can probably get my brother to press the bearing off. I can get new deals and brushes. It will be about $30+/-. Money is a little tighter because of the vacation we too. I want spend wisely. I can get a new whole unit for $109.00. If I repair it do you think I will be able Keep it dry inside or will it begin leaking the first time that I clunk a root or stump?

Do both. Upgrade to a new one and as time allows see about repairing that one. Keep it as a backup. Or better yet get a bow mount and use that on the transom. Idk if it can be fixed. Depends on how long the water was in there and what other parts are bad.

It looks kind of okay inside. No corrosion. My real worry is wether I could get it to seal properly again. Good Idea two have it in the front and rear but no room really. Thanks though...
