It has been a while since I reviewed their regs but I want to say at the time, only the hook was regulated on a spinner, not weight. This will be my steelhead mix if NY laws allow the weight and I’m really not sure paperwork is pretty vague on this point can it weigh more than 3.5 grams or 1/8 of a oz speaking the salmon river anyway
It may but the spinner itself is going to get weeds on it. Just the end of the twisted wire will tangle. If I added a single or treble weedless hook to a spinner would it fly correctly? I’d love to use them more but it is really choked up with weeds where I normally fish.
I know a couple of guys that throw spinner baits in weedy areas, single hook, less snags. It may but the spinner itself is going to get weeds on it. Just the end of the twisted wire will tangle.
I throw the spinners I make at my local reservoir that has ALOT of weeds. The payoff is fantastic as soon as it deflects off of a weed but every cast I am cleaning the spinner off and not always the hook.
are they weedless hooks or plain?I know a couple of guys that throw spinner baits in weedy areas, single hook, less snags.

When I first started making spinners, I used round needle nose pliers. They worked well. What are you all using for wire forming, makes ones head spin with all the ones offered

It’s a buzz bait thenPlain hooks, don't recall ever seeing a weedless Spinner Bait
Sometimes you just gotta whip it into no man’s land lolNo, not a buzz bait. I don't fish spinnerbaits very often but I know the difference. These are 2 bass guys I've fished with, the one throws it deep in to cover, gets snagged a lot but he also gets a lot of bass.
Melvin you've seen me cast. Everywhere is nomads land for me...........Sometimes you just gotta whip it into no man’s land lol
