What did you Catch Today?

A friend wanted to get out today so I took him to a wild but also stocked stream. He landed a couple of 9-11" Wild Browns, missed a few too. I played guide / clean up and was able to get into a couple of 8-9" Wild Browns and a nicely colored 14" Stocker Rainbow. We knew today would not be plentiful with 42 degree water temps and snow melt but it was all about "getting out", that is priceless this time of year.

A friend had the day off today and said he wanted to go fishing. After trying to figure out where to go, we ended up on a small schuylkill county trout stream. I did my typical sit back and be more of a guide and do clean up casts but Brian’s accuracy and eye for trouty looking spots left me for not much of the tally. About 15 or so for us today. A pretty good number I thought for this time of year and water temps.

A few pics.

They get washed in from the tribs and survive. I caught a rainbow about a mile down from there before. This why I don’t understand why people stop pursuing fish. There’s way more opportunities out there than people give credit. The area that hold fish are just to far for my lazy ass to fish.
