Me too, Lake O shoreline has a bit more wild crowd and Erie seems less “NY” lol. I hear Erie is great for walleye. Not my game but some like to chase them. When I think Lake Trout I think Geneva, self proclaimed “Lake Trout capitol of the world.” Then again, I’ve been looking at where to...
With the archery overlap I’m just a bit too tired and knee needs fixing. Getting up at 3am to drop 2k’, climb 2k’, then limp back down at dark is more than I’m up for mentally. Once I start though I’ll adjust. Or I’ll head North/West to fish more chrome.
I have like 4 weeks of vacation still and some Hilton Vouchers. Lost my drive for hunting but when it starts I get a bit obsessed. Not looking to deal with huge crowds though. Last season, I think I was end of Oct/Early Nov and hit the first big rain. I had a good time and crowded but not stupid...
I think I’m around next weekend to meet up. Hard to say, I’m camping until tonight, no clue on work, 3 kids start school next week. Travel generally isn’t an issue on my end. I’ll know better once I get in tonight.
Should say RVing at a mini resort, lol. I don’t recall waterparks, Mini Golf, or panning for fossils at any camp I went to. Only time we had water was when it was above freezing and we hauled the hose/cinder block down the mountain into a creek. The Adirondacks are a bit rural comparatively...
Maybe spelled it wrong. Took kids camping this weekend. Had to run to Reading area and passed this creek at a small creek confluence. Today it’s 70 and rainy. Wishing I brought waders. Looks like a nice stream. Supposed to use up Hershey Park tickets but weathers not looking great.
I’ve had a field full of bucks, house owners out feeding them, 2-3 cars stopped watching, neighbors kid triking in parking lot, and another neighbor then “sneak” up with a long lens camera. They could care less until he Snuck up, then “they gone”, had same happen with Bear, walk normal and you...
For some reason on new devices the site doesn’t come up. I have to hand type the address to find it. I sort of remember search engines charging for top of page links. Odd it doesn’t show at all though.
SL that’s a great idea! I meet a lot of newer fishermen around JT and inevitably spend the best fishing hours helping/advising them until they catch a few fish.
It’d be a lot easier to turn them loose here, LoL.
Must’ve been something hatching that drifted in the current. I watched dorsal and tail fins for hours emerging on the surface in a deep medium flow channel. Never witnessed porpoising with trout before. Water temp came up by mid morning and last reading was over 70. They stopped when sun came...
It’s funny to be drifting in a skinny column 5-6 floats all in series, I looked around and realized 4-5 different types of rods being used but all looked the same from the Float side. The guys using heavy spinning gear hauled fish in like landing bluegill. They did lose a few. Many had short...
Not quite the same as “Thingamobobs” and other Indictators I have floating around(no pun intended)
Even the Fly guys and spinning rod guys I fished with in Erie all had floats. Most had the small clear ones. I have a few but can’t cast them well on the Mini Pin. Think mine are Drennan.
