Actually I change over to cats and carp. Esox are there but I try to leave them alone as water is still to hot but the colder nights will get them going same with the colder water fish. I’ll go for bass in some of the creeks here and there. Maybe letting the rods sit I’ll throw some plastics...

New Zealand must have some huge trout just eating fat off those salmon farms. They sit in those cold glacier waters. This is the second trout from there. The first was a brown. Wonder if the trout are getting bigger than the salmon. :unsure:🙂

Is this backpacking and camping overnight. Or just going for some long hikes. Used to do that when I was a kid not so much now. Now if I have a backpack on it’s mostly full of fishing gear. If I go for hikes it’s just water and snacks for the day.

Was below the kinzua dam on Saturday some great fishing waters and didn’t even get a bite. I could even see the fish. Still to hot I guess.

Yes I always changing water on hot days they need the oxygen. Can always buy the floating buckets weight them down a little with rocks. Will work great on your little row boat.

Make sure to keep changing the water if you get minns.

Run an electric aerator when your not out in the waters. Then just buy a rechargeable battery with the stations. You can get a cheapo at Wal-Mart.
