If that’s the case of fish straightening out the hook then I would definitely downsize to a thicker hook. ;) Something I’ve learned in fly tying. They make thicker hooks for a reason. The reason thinner hooks probably cause it doesn’t take away the action of the lure so a smaller thicker hook...

If you don’t like singles I would definitely downsize those trebles.

Where do you get your water from. I usually drink bottle water when I'm at camp but now I broke down.

Just came back from fishing myself. Here I pulled. Up to the holes I know since water is low. Saw a truck there went down to look where he was fishing and he was like 200 yards away from the hole I wanted to fish so grab my stuff and went down. Next thing you know I hear him and wife walking up...

I've tried a whopper plopper and haven't had any luck yet but I hear they work. So far the best and easiest I've used so far are the walk the dog styles. Like the cigar shapes.
