As for the heat those trout don’t stand a chance unless it’s a really cold spring running it. Even then they can be overplayed.

I’ve had luck with them not swallowing a size 6 or 4 long shank hooks but I’ve not fully tested that out. That’s usually was by accident and not having a good hook to fish powerbait for.

I’ve done them both grem. That’s what the cool people do. Haha. 😉 The best way I’ve always learned to fish for trout especially stocked trout that gut hook on every cast was a barbless hook. I even tried those circle hooks and those even got swallowed.

Got to do some relaxing in yesterday. Got a nice size bass on the fly rod. But to Melvinp that’s only a fish tail. Can’t believe how much these cats like bread. I get them all the time when I’m going carp fishing.

Seems like a decent price for the full day. My fishing would be Erie since I’m not going to drive 6hrs to 7hrs for a couple of days. Plus my fishing on charters isn’t the greatest either. I heard some lakers come in with the rest of the trout off of lake o hoping they start with Erie’s tribs.

I’ve learned my lesson the first time. It was smaller one so I thought I could just unhook it and let it go. Well the teeth sliced my thumb right open so I used a very long needle nose pliers. Never had a problem since.

Finally using bluegill for bait. You’ll get something nice on that one lol. 😉🙂😛 That’s hard snagging something that small but that’s how deadly those trebles are.

I think you referring to the trout nuts on the other forums. With that said I honestly don't care for how you hold a stocked trout since they are going to die in most waters in the summer. Rather have them die quick than suffer. Those that die I do think you should at least do something with...

Looks like lake trout are on the return. Glad to see them successfully spawning as they were once native. Plus they get big so should be fun to catch. Might have to make a trip to Erie and find them...

Pafisherman was fun but I like this place a lot better. Hope it sticks around for years to come. I’ve been trying to get people from my area to join.
