I was throwing Kietech 3.5 inch Easy Shiner paddle tails on a 3/0 hook with no weight, hooked through the nose, crazy action. I was hanging them in the current and the bass were attacking them.
I'm way up on the North Branch, closer to Tunkhannock. River is ideal for me right now for wading. I also fly fish, trout in the spring and smallmouth all summer into fall. October caddis are out now on some streams.
Welcome Flyman. Would help to know which section of the Susquehanna you're on. As your probably know the river is quite low currently. I'd be glad to help if I'm local to your location.
Susquehanna? It should be prime right now. I'm heading up to the spot above Tunkhannock for 3-4 days camping starting Wednesday. The smallies better be biting !!
