I got a buddy who tips everything with live bait. Even on a fly with a little wax worm. It works not sure if it is scent or just a fish thinking two meals in one.

Either way will do in my opinion lol as long as they bite

Anything and everything goes you really never no till ya try at least 3 times or more lol in most cases that’s a lot of trail and error when you have 300 different styles of lure’s

My uncles and dads friends that were in Vietnam used to say the best scent or attractant was the insect repellent supplied to the GIs by the government!
