Not believing that Troutspinner is right about longer rods being better I went online to see what others had to say. Their is a conscenus it seems for 7’ or 7’3” to be the minimum.
Then I found a bunch of pro’s that disagreed. It seems like there is a cultishly small crowd that likes 6-6.6 for pitching, jigging and punching. Yay. But for casting and flipping I like my 7’ better.
My guess is you’ll like this allot for a while and the disease that we all have will kick in and cause you to buy more. More at the Troutspinner recommended length.
