I just got an ambassador 7000 and love it. This Kastking has the line counter.

Should work great. Find the depth that they are at on the finder and target away.

I've heard people say that but I didn't see it on the screen. I'll play with it a little.
I do like it for trolling and it would be great for salt as well.

I know some hate this function but do you have the fish id option. I think on hummingbird models it’s called the fish id plus. It actually shows you fish symbols. When I started learning I used this option. It does actually work for the most part. It should show you the fish symbols and depth.

Yes it has it. Not sure how reliable it is. Do you think it will show my lures better if I turn it off? I had it on and didn’t see my lure dropping straight down.

I question it myself but it has put me in some good schools of fish. As for the seeing the lure I think that would be adjusting the sensitivity settings. Also for seeing lure you have to be right under your transducer.

Uncle Melvin and Cousin Z, I was at the flea in Saylorsburg today and saw four line counter reels. 2 @ $20 and 2 @ 30. They wet on rods but needed line.
