My son was by Tobyhanna today. Used a pipe to bust a hole. Had 2". Report of two guys on Shahola.

Found out my OT will coming to an end mid February. Now and then maybe I could squeeze some in. Hoping to use all that gear that's been sitting in the storage unit.

Looks like no more ice couple days ago saw some thin ice on the creek driving back home it opened up now today gone.

Hit 50 degrees here in Shavertown today, more warm temps and rain tomorrow.

Ice is holding in he elevations. I think its done for a bit after today. If the forecast holds likely to be on again next weekend. Belmont seemed a bit sketchy so looked around for a back up plan. Today on Stillwater Dam. Shortened fishing time due to looking for a spot.

Just caught some smaller gills and a couple crappies but I got out on safe ice

Ice seaon is rolling! A few ups and downs to start. Unpredictable weather had us spinning our wheels for a bit but we are locked in now. Good day on the lake today. Bitter but beautiful start. Temps fell 10 - 14 degrees lower than forecast. Trees and bushes were all white with frost. Fishing was pretty good. Lots caught. Friends and family will have some fresh fish. Kept 21 gills, 7 crappies. Caught twice that many. 5-6" of solid ice. 4-5" of snow on top make the pull a bit tougher. Used the flip over and heater today
