Holsinger trick on Mickey Finn

I had never seen this trick of pre wrapping the bundle before drawing it down to the shank. this could prove very helpful.

What a waste of thread. Seems like a lot of tyers like to wrap thread on a hook and cutting inches off when starting.

As for prewrapping he does it easy lol. I did it a couple times works great but gotta watch it from sliding around when tying it.

It works on elk hair caddis to it helps to keep the hair from wrapping around the hook keeping it on top of the shank
