I’m trying to improve my minnow

Hey that's a cool Idea, thanks. What I was thinking was to let the beads clack back and forth a little for noise and I placed a thread dam on there to keep them from sliding back to the bend. So if I put Blue thread under Red beads it would be purple? and so on. Glass is cheap.

So what did you settle on? Did the minnow you posted at the top work and swim well?

No reason you can’t but watch your hook don’t fill the gap beads don’t collapse when the fish hits leave at least one beads distance before the tip of the point
That’s why wide gap hooks work great for this but the only problem is they take more weight to flip. I’ve noticed that even tying to much material around the hook point can also stop a good hookup.

Well I'm so new to it that even a pass at the hook gets talked about by me! I agree. I used to bend them straight as well to get rid of the offset but others set me straight on that.
