Lake Winola

Anyone know the ice conditions on Winola. Thinking of going this weekend.

I read this on Ice Shanty, posted on Monday Jan. 17th "Was by there Saturday main part of Lake capped docks from bubblers were open area by boat launch was wide open from the wind."

Can't trust everything you read anymore though.

Thats what i heard also. Basically unsafe last weekend.

I think Winola and Harveys are only memories for ice fishing any more. We might get some ice but the amount of docks with huge bubbler systems is making it harder to get and keep ice.

I heard there have been guys on Winola but there was open water on both sides of public launch, a section in between was the path out.
