I cut everything off too when I empty the boat for its winter nap.

Ha, after a dozen re-spools who knows. If I flew back one week to something over single digits I’d go check.

Sure wish GA had trout near where I’m at. Could drive a few hours I guess but southern trout just seems odd. Unless it’s Ark world records I guess.

For me it's winter, and no cold weather fishing! So it's time for maintenance & clean up for the rods and reels. I fish 6 - 8 different reels a season. I'll also do indoor hobbies.

Oh, Jesus.... Don't know of I have that much film in the roll! It is ALL still on there.... from Trout rigs to the Shore rods to the half dozen daily river runners.

I’ve done a bunch of that. Don’t know how many holes are in the car seat haha. The worst was when grabbing a fish out the net. Got my sleeve then somehow got my pant leg. I had to take the shirt off to get out of it lol.
