One of my 50th bday gifts...

I've been meaning to post this up. Shiela, my family and friends got together a few weeks back and threw me a surprise 50th.

One of my relatives lives next to a rod builder so they surprised me with my first custom rod which was a huge surprise. I don't have specifics but it's 7ft and appears to be medium action. Way different reel seat than I'm used to. Not sure what I'll target with it come Spring but it'll see it's share of work.

Yeah I was thinking that too but with a butt end that big and the rod being beefy it doesn't scream trout to me, it feels like a medium salt water rod. My trout rod looks like a 7 ft pipe cleaner next to this lol

Roger that. All the trout rods I use, are 5' - 5.5'. Although I have a variety of rods.

Rod is saltwater. Decal looks like speckled trout.
