Nuts & Bolts Guy
Don mentioned a "Spinner" thread so I thought I would start one.
I don't know if I've ever posted this anywhere, maybe on the old site? but I thought I would share my build of the trout spinners I use to make and sell. I do still have some parts to make them but I rarely trout fish now and when I do, I still have some made on a rack that I just grab and go.
I do use Indiana Blades as well. With the Indiana, you want to use a Size #2 blade to be comparable in size to the #1 French.
If using for Steelhead or Bass, go up one more size in Blades and add an additional 1/4" Solid Brass Bead above the Plastic Bead.
Lastly, if fishing regulated water that requires a single hook, I used a #6 VMC Needle Cone Sure Set Hook in Bronze Finish, Hagens Part #17-06-73.
