I use, with poor results I might ad, Texas rigged Yamamoto worms. They seem to catch fewer but bigger fish for one. Second, I like them, reminiscent of my childhood and the only plastic worm I had then. They make me feel special, lol. I like trolling them when I'm boating out to and back from my favorite fishing spots and I've had some good success. I troll along in speed 2 or 3 with the rod in my hand and about 40' of line out. I've caught some nice fish this way. One of the things that I've noticed is how many bumps I get that don't get hooked. It took me a number of years to determine the difference btwn a snag on a weed and the tag of a fish. I'm wondering if a second hook tied Texas style at the back would gain me more fish. Or would I find that it only produces little gills and pickerel that I'd soon lose interest in.

I've always struggled with this when fishing for bass in lakes and ponds. What I discovered was the panfish and perch will bump the worm or try and get a piece of it but rarely get hooked.
