To the rod builders

Finally did my rods the first was a small trout rod. I took apart and older rod cut it down a little and cut the guides off a made into a fly rod. Did a lot of things wrong with it. Lol. Good thing I did it lol. My 10wt fly rod kit I did a lot better still had problems lining up guides so did them over a couple times. All I know is it is built now to see how it holds up.

I’ve just eyeballed it as I go but I was wondering if there is a standard distance. I’m somewhere btwn 1/4 and 3/8.

They say 6 wraps for the beginning. 6 to 8 wraps to finish up. I think I went 10 to 12 wraps.
