View attachment 2442Here’s the type I use. I gotta have the tip on this plier. Also I need the pliers to cut and pull hooks. Forceps aren’t rigid enough for salmon or bigger fish.

I’m thinking I might get a pair of them

OK, yeah I have some. Different brands, different attachment methods. One on the strap of my tackle backpack. One or two on the plyer holders on new tackle bag. On the PFD I use a fly fishing thing that is a similar concept but it's like a tube with a sort of bungee thing with a clip on the bottom. I usually clip a pair of forceps and pair of bandage scissors on the same one. I can use one and let the other dangle.

Thx, I see a bunch on there but it’s tough to judge quality and size. Some of my pliers have a hole in the handle. If I use the hole with the clip it either locks them funny or gets in the way. I’ve used key rings through the hole or handle loop but it’s not much better. I might try cord or old fly line through the hole or loop. My fear is I’m not a leisure fisherman so if the cord breaks or wears I’ll lose a nice set of pliers or other tool.

Here’s the three shot pliers, gold pair are fly shop version, stainless rainbow little ones are Anadromous Fly Shop as are the larger ones I like the most.
