Since I haven’t tied anything up for awhile now and it’s the new year so was thinking what to tie up. Might actually try to get some actual good flies for carp and not by luck flies. Post up what you know, flies that have worked for you. If you have any.

I run straight braid on the baitcaster it’s 80lbs. No leader. The other I use that wire, I had posted a pic in another thread. The toothy fish are not as line shy as some fish can be. Plus your presenting something bigger that is not being bothered by the line weight.

Not really a fluoro fan the only kind I use is 4lb stren and its for running leaders for trout. Don’t even care for it.

I would agree with TC. Try to get a feel for it but knowing that minn Kota is just like any other company they get cheaper not better so. Might wanna look at another company and take the chance. To me it also has to do with the better costumer service but you only know until you jump in.

Have to agree season is now trout opening is the April the second. Looks like they went with the one opening.

Really can’t comment myself as the only blank I got is from hook and hackle. Lifetime warranty also so I’ll have to see how good it actually is.

I was going to buy some stuff like an auger. Than when I saw how expensive stuff was. Wasn’t worth it for two maybe three months of ice a year.

Finally got a good snow shower. How much you get in your area. Mine maybe two to three inches.
