I assume your talking deep cycle sometimes it does take a little bit of a kick start to get them going but when your above 6v a trickle charge will be fine deep cycles are meant to be drawn down and recharged it actually harder on them if you constantly recharge without running them down

Have you seen many jumping worms you know the white ones that break there tail off and squirt when you stick a hook in them.They will bounce off the ground when you first find them.
