Meat in the freezer or smokerWhat an epic day today. A push of Cohos lasted all day and all 6 of use feel like we are well beyond our years. We only kept 3, the freshest of the freshest if you will but the amount of hookups was at a level we’ve never experienced up here. If they weren’t mouth hooked, a quick palm of the reel was an easy decision, the next one will be.
A little something to take home.

I have family out that way. I was there as a kid. I think I remember an educational thing about the dam in that location? When the water was super low there was a city or something at the bottom of the lake. I remember seeing a bridge about 10ft down teaming with fish. Again, many years ago and it could be a different body of water.Went below kinzua dam. Just a bunch small fish smallmouth and rock bass. No walleye.
Tomorrow is another day.
My fishing mates and my neighbors this time around. We did do a trade for one that was already Cajun smoked.Meat in the freezer or smoker
Neat looking dam. I didn’t know that it released that way. Interesting.Went below kinzua dam. Just a bunch small fish smallmouth and rock bass. No walleye.

Many years ago this was great place to fish but it has changed and I think over fishing is really changed these waters. Still a fun place. Now I think certain times of year is how you have to hit it.I have family out that way. I was there as a kid. I think I remember an educational thing about the dam in that location? Bottom and top release. Very big dam.Neat looking dam. I didn’t know that it released that way. Interesting.
By far the smallest fish I have ever caught on a line. Very shallow local stream. Is that a baby brookie? The yellow dot made me think it was but figured I'd ask those that know.
Jealous.Went below kinzua dam. Just a bunch small fish smallmouth and rock bass. No walleye.
Tomorrow is another day.
Yeah I did the same and saw the same thing. I thought it was a leaf at first lolLooks like a shiner to me. When I do a Google Image Search, there are several minnow results that look similar.

Waded a stream near us for 2 hours. Slow start but ended up with 4 Fallfish, 1 on the fly. Ended with 2 trout on small curly tail grubs with spinner jig heads. I never knew that was a thing for trout but now I do.
Road runner style. I throw both but this year the road runner style produced everywhere we threw it.Nice Bow, Road-Runner style or Beetle Spin?
