They called it a euro nymph which there really is no fly that is really called a euro nymph. Euro nymphing is the type of fishing. That can be done with different types of flies but they still have there own name's.
Yes, yes, and thanks.So the fact that pheasant tail is the material used makes it a pheasant tail nymph, even though the fly itself has no tail, I got it now. And the labeling of Euro Nymph is more about style for nymphing with large heavy beadhead than an actual fly. Thanks for the responses. Beautiful flies Solitario Lupo
Actually a pheasant tail has a tail you take fibers from the feather to create the tail first then wrap the rest of the fibers forward to create the body(usually 3 fibers)tail fibers can easily brake off being their the very tip of the fiber and not very strong at least from my view and of course they are made from a pheasant tail feather of courseSo the fact that pheasant tail is the material used makes it a pheasant tail nymph, even though the fly itself has no tail, I got it now.
