They called it a euro nymph which there really is no fly that is really called a euro nymph. Euro nymphing is the type of fishing. That can be done with different types of flies but they still have there own name's.

That’s correct but in their view of their sport they do have some special names and terminology, just like the Tenkara folks.

My point is they are misleading HD by calling it a euro nymph fly. The fly itself is actually called something else. Euro nymphing is a technique.

The creek I'm fishing water is very cold, it's probably 2-3 weeks behind most popular central Pa. streams. All I've seen so far is BWO and Caddis. And when it rains the streamer action is very good. Right now I'm focused in on the caddis larva, pupa & emergers. I'll do a little stream sampling soon and see what I can come up with.

No tail on the bead head caddis larva. It's how the larva stage is.

I must respectfully say, YES!
I also new to this and spend allot of time reading online, confusing sometimes, isn't it. But once you start connecting them to what you see around you the connection will happen. I don't trout fish but buy reading about it and rubbing shoulders with trout fishermen I able to stay more educated and confident about what to use. For panfish you can use all that glitters, twists and plops but when they fail you on certain days (cloudy and cold) go back to traditional because the normal everyday foods alway attract the hungry.

Actually a pheasant tail has a tail you take fibers from the feather to create the tail first then wrap the rest of the fibers forward to create the body(usually 3 fibers)tail fibers can easily brake off being their the very tip of the fiber and not very strong at least from my view and of course they are made from a pheasant tail feather of course
