What did you Buy Today?

Nuts & Bolts Guy
I have a plan for an unsettled future, an unorthodox one, but a plan. Notice I didn't say a smart plan lol

This is the new boat hauler. 23 left over Rubicon, we'll optioned, 4:10s, 33s, front/rear locker, tow, cold weather & LED package. I spent a year waiting for the right deal and this was it. $20.7k off msrp, great trade and decent apr. My 1st truck in many years after a 10 hour round trip to MD talking Shiela's ears off lol I did something for me while I could. No buyers remorse, life is too short.
Damn! That is some good discounting! Good to see! My Ford Dealer sent me an email the other day, 20% off MSRP and 0% financing. I suppose dealers are finally feeling some pain.

What I wouldn't have given for 0%. It ended up being 30% off. Makes me wonder how much they discount 23s over the winter and into 25. Nothing more than post covid market adjustments.

Life is short. Good for you. Most of those earlier had no option for ABS brakes. Do these later models have them now. Pretty slick. 4:10's will be nice for towing.

Had to get it was on sale at Amazon. Was jig one of my zoom craws in the river for bass and saw a fish come out and grab it. Thinking a small muskie. Never felt weight as it was probably was sliced off

I’ve used it and like it.I use a lot of seaguar red for making spin rigs and like to use seaguar Grandmax but it’s stupid expensive so the only time I buy it is ny for salmon and steel on the flyrod.

Now wait a minute...the only Seaguar Blue 6# I hear. 'Ole Sellersville' will fine you if caught with red or gold.

For my beloved Pickerel fishing I've had better luck with mono leader. I use Big Game 17 or 30. To be fair the only floro I have is 20# Strike King and it cuts like, like, Snip! and its gone. Ive not yet had the Big Game 17 get snipped. So I bet 80# big game would perform really well. The theory is that the mono is softer, gummier, and absorbs teeth rather than being sliced by teeth.

Not the way I hear it for Muskie. 80lb fluoro is even under what they say for a leader. Should be at 120lb. Honestly don’t think mono would cut it for them.

I really don’t use either mono or floro for the bite though factor it’s more about one floats one doesn’t if it’s comes to teeth then it’s wire.

Lupo try this. It’s really small in diameter and knottable and made in PA

Ya I have the wire not that size I have in 60lb and 1 in 80lb. Wonder if the lower lbs will still work. Right now going to try the fluoro as it's not as visible. The wire seems to really stick out in the shallower waters. And I think they are seeing it as I get more follows than bites right now.
You wouldn't think but they are very picky fish. They sit and watch before they just strike.

I really think that you would only need 6 to 12 inches of it.On a 12 inch fly that wouldn’t be too bad.
