What did you Catch Today?

Did see the cooler of shiners hadn’t lost more as it waits for me. 3-4 weeks now and only lost 4-5 total. 3 when I went away over a week and they didn’t get a bucket change. Cooler garage temps def help but getting warm lately. Probably do better in lower garage but then I’d forget about them. Almost grabbed a hard plastic and inflatable pool jacuzzi thing with lid on side of road. Decided it might be a bit of a nuisance for bait though.

Get yourself a big aquarium. I still have a couple of the fatheads that got dumped in years back at end of season.

My aquarium got some kind of disease in it from then cleaned it out with bleach and still seems to come back killing them so. I don't keep one anymore.

It’s not like me to miss a football Sunday but a friend reached out and said salt water conditions were too good to deny. He was right! We boated 7 with two in the keeper slot, the rest were overs. We dropped a few others, caught a few dogfish and sea bass while waiting for pods of fish to move. Fun day!

I laid down the BFS gear in hopes of duping some larger and much more rare bass at my local haunt today. I started with a 3/8 Ounce Double Willow Spinbait, it’s what they are suppose to bite in the fall right? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but it wasn’t until I replaced it with a 3/8 Colorado / Indiana Spinbait that duped them. I suppose the increased thump of the wider blades coerced them out of the weeds.

The results, same guys but I’l never complain about catching bass.

The first

The 2nd, biggest and last. No question where he was hiding.

I only fished about 40 minutes, there were road workers working near the parking lot and I was worried they were going to close me in but they were nice enough to leave me about 8’ to squeeze through.
