I saw something cool. With the water being so clear the minnow clouds show in a big way as they pass under you while at anchor. Any large fish appear as suspended in air. While noticing this I saw a medium sized Smallmouth slowly, while looking up, work its way along the forested side of the lake and snatching Lantern Flies(they're huge now) from the surface. It would grab one and then waddle sideways and grab another over and over. Gluttonous behavior for sure. Its a tough lake to fish but the natural beauty is exceptional.

I have caught trout in Swatara in August and September before. They get past the fishermen, the eagles, and the warm water and weather.
