Size 9, I experimented with some sole inserts, seems to be working

All the other soles suck, no traction. I have 2 sets of felts that are worn out, the basic rubber soles are worthless. I think the way the boots are made on the interchangable sole boots is the problem, it's not like an ordinary boot, more like strapping wooden planks to your feet.

I'm looking for an alternative to Korkers interchangable soles, the carbide spikes are killing my feet.

Should work better than the "rod clip" I was using which eventually broke. How do we know it won't fall out when you bend over to unhook a fish?

Frances Slocum shallow side is locked up to the shore. It looks like nice black ice. I went out 2-3 feet from shore and stomped on it and heard it crack. Didn't get out far enough to try and drill a hole.

Frances Slocum shallow side was all locked up on Wed. Shoreline was gone but that may be due to a rise in the lake level. Closest ice to shore was an inch of milky ice and an inch of slush on top. Even the dam side was more than 1/2 locked up.
