There are no pike in canonsburg. I’ve heard that one time back in the days maybe caught below dam but I think they were Muskie at the time they tried to stock them.

Went to try for some carps and cats. Started at canonsburg and the carp were not in the usual holes so went to peters lake. Nothing stirring up there either. Bass look like they are on the hunt.

I think it’s actually more of the stocking over native that’s hurting worst.

Got a couple to follow but no takers maybe next week. The smallmouth and perch are running with the warmer waters.

Never know what you will find in the middle of the forest.

They always have some nice size here.

Im up to about 10 flies lost already and that’s just the couple of days I got out lol. They were my good ones. Looks like I’ll be at the vise sooner than I thought. :(

Have to agree with this one If you have the rods and you’re allowed to carry around 3 rods why not have it on you. Muskie fishing I have all 3 and will use all 3 rods. Spinning, bait, and fly. They all do something different.

I'm thinking it's an Ohio lamprey. But it could be endangered.

Water is getting low very clear. They only stocked the deep holes more in the middle of the park and under the cover bridge big hole.

Went to Mingo creek yesterday for the third stocking. Nice fished a hole that had a bunch in it caught 4 missed some. Waters warming up quick.

It would be interesting to see which one it is as i see at least one every time I’ve been on Traverse creek.

Didn’t really get a good look at the mouth. The dots on the side are lamprey and eels don’t have them.

Think it was a lamprey. From other pics plus they don’t get as big as eels. This creek must have them naturally in it as this is like the third or fourth time seeing them swimming in there. I’ve also seen them in another creek in the mountains that I fish. Pretty neat to see them.
