A reel is a reel to me but I do like sticking to certain brands.

The stop TS is a string or whatever, to stop the bobber at a certain point. It goes in the reel. I don’t think it will work. It’s not the guides so much it the reel hole size that feeds your line. Might get something small to work.

I've tried with new members giving away this site to a lot of people only a handful join them it's just for a day or 2 then gone. As far as not being around I have been busy. Mostly just working and only a couple days to get fishing in. Glad to see a post here and there. Even if it is by Don.

Missed a muskie on the line thru trout. Rain got everything high and muddy. Caught this.

Like HD said water will be hot for trout so keep them they wont make it in hot waters. If your going for trout you cant run that big of a leader so you may want just a trout rod setup. With no higher than 6lb anykinda line.

If that's what your going for then just run about a foot or 2 of floro or mono.

My leader is 20lb mono to 6lb mono. Run it about 9ft. On my fly. Spinning I run straight 6lb mono.

They cut back on a lot of areas they stock muskie. Used to stock them in some sh#t hole places. Water prob to hot for them.

I like it wanted to do one like that will have to boil it and try. I just set mine out all winter to be sun dried.

Peters lake. Some nice big snappers in there with painted turtles.

This snail really put up a fight. At peters. Who wants turtle soup.

For smaller lures I go to spinning gear. Some of the smaller lures i feel like trying to kill them by throwing my arm out with the baitcaster and pretty much got a nest almost every time. Thumb was definitely needed for smaller lures.

My 80lb braid sure doesn’t match my reels or rod haha. I starting to think you have to learn how to set your tension. Wind your bait to top of rod hold tip in air upward and push the button. Did it fall fast if so tighten tension try again. You want it to fall slow the slower the better.

You can stop it with your thumb. As I always leave my thumb on the line so if I think it’s a bad cast I can stop it. It’s more of a toss up then let it stop and fall in the air. No b line drive straight to water. Think like throwing a ball a toss is easier up in the air and a pitch is straight...

When casting overhead with it you want the bait to stop and fall in the air. If you just throw your bait at the water and slap it your line will still want to go out.
