No need to do that. Your not fishing in a tournament. Unless you feel you need 10 rods laying around. Thats why I have my 3 rods fly, spin, and bait. one of those rods will do everything I need.

I just got a little aluminum boat gear like lures and others lay around in boat and rods go in the rod holders. I got 3 on the boat.

You can put a piece of electrical tape to the spool the tie it on or I use thick mono backing then braid.

Honestly think that circle hook still are going to get swallowed. I tried that method and still they got deep hooked. For this i found that bigger hooks with longer shank help the best. If you file the bard off you can still grab shank of hook and get it out. Or when they grab it the shank...

Glad to hear it. Where’s the pics? Lol. North park is too much of a zoo for me. Those dang people in the yaks and paddle boards drive me crazy. Got the hole lake and they see me fishing and come right for me. Always fun yelling at them go somewhere else you got the whole lake.

Never had a problem where it birds nest into the mono. Also I haven’t changed the line in years.

Can always make one with a good warranty. Hook and hackle as lifetime warranties on their blanks. Seems like now since I’m building my own higher end blanks. The rod differences are much better than the cheapos I’ve been buying. Plus i have bought those high end rods with lifetime warranties...

No I think it would work 😉 Salmon rod should be fine just run a leader. If in shallow waters I would float it, in deeper just sink it.

Whatever the heaviest line and rod you got. Then put a Fluoro leader on it anywhere from 80lb to 100lb. 8”trout would be nice or bigger. Live bait that range works. Getting pretty hot for Muskie also. Probably hiding around cooler areas.

Seems to do the job for protecting fish. can't wait to see if the hooks get stuck.

So I got tired of getting hooks tangled (stuck) in net. The net hurting fish. (Mainly Muskie pushing the holes open and getting their heads stuck.) And all the other B.S. So instead of buying all new ones and they are expensive for some. I got a thing of flex seal and just coated the nets...
