I would use some sort of indicator. If it’s a very shallow creek and clear the smallest float you got so you don’t spook them. Plus they bite lightly so as soon as you see it stop hook as fast as you can.

Finally got one on a white foam fly.

Just fished one. Had it floating in a glass for hrs as soon as it hit the water it sank with the current funny how it still worked great. Another @ HD for the whiteflies.

Got right in front of the stocking truck 🚚 They threw a bucket in hole right in front of me and I started fishing after they settled down they started hitting. I must be rusty missed 3 or 4 of them ha.😅

I have a hard time with them sliding then if you tie to tight the thread rips right into them. Lol. They are a pain.

The slot is what kills you when keeping them. Guess it helps.

Had to hunt down my chimney cap that was blown off the roof. That was last weeks. Sat almost got tossed into the creek with some pretty powerful wind gusts.

Weather sure is crazy today. Creeks are muddy. Hard day fishing had to put the time in for them which I wasn't doing. Messed around with a golden rainbow and couldn't get it to bite.

Looks like it’s a heaven place for kids. Definitely a trout pond.

Nice job on the legs. They usually are a pain to tie with.

Might just go somewhere close and play around. If the weather is bad just might wait for the second stocking.

Not really a big trout fisherman myself. Never targeted bowfin got some waters around me with them in it. Hear they fight great.

Never tried for one but big meaty flies. I hear a lot on big bass flies. Crayfish and chub size patterns.

Who would throw this. Definitely one of the most expensive lures I own.

Just the plain oil don’t think you would have to do it with in a couple years. Mixing oil with gas should not let that sit in there. Should run it dry. For long periods especially. Some years I don’t use it I’ll start it up get a trash can fill it with water.
