Don one thing I learned about fish is it’s all about water temps. It really does play a part. IMO

Right hand grips the rod with thumb on spool of reel. Left hand sometimes help with gripping the rod on casts. Or just used to crank the reel. I don’t palm the reel or switch hands.

Seems like them nice simple flies work the best.

I’ve only fillet a couple fish and suck at it. The more you do it the better you’ll get.

Tried it at the beginning of the year with strawberry jello with no luck but think they started to cool down. Will be back at it this year. Give it another try but think I’ll be sticking with corn and just bread. Still gotta try that piece of garlic.

Hard one as it’s long and different areas hold different specie. For most part small mouth, some areas walleye/Muskie. Closer to the dam is where the trophy trout hang out so a lot will fish for them up there.

You would have a blast. Stay on the little islands overnight.
