There was an article a couples month age that Lower Woods is the first dam in that area that will be repaired and filled. I think 2023. White Oak, Millers and Pecks are on the list but who knows when. Duck Harbor was dropped some for repairs but is being refilled.

Well then this should be your new home lake. Plenty of gills in the 5 -6" range and calico 7 -8".

Lower Woods was drained several years ago. Still a pond but a decent walk from the parking area.

Nice. I live about ten minutes from Slocum. Rarely fish it. Loaded with calico but tons of dinks. You need to weed thru a lot to get keepers. Seems to be a good walleye population but nobody seems to get many. Ice fishing is popular in the evening and after dark and produces lots of calico but...

No they a just long inline. Usually 4 -6 blades. Not for casting, strictly a trolling rig

I dont know anybody that uses a flasher on a boat. At least not in the last 15 years. The only thing it will provide is a depth reading. For seeing fish or structure its less than useless. Ice flashers are a bit different. Add to the fact they are perfectly still and colorized.

Got out today to play on the Pack. Good chance my last visit this season, Bite was decent. four bass 2 to 2,25# and one that went 3.35. 4 diniks and a big pickerel. Everything on crankbaits.

I wasnt out but my son went to FEW. Had a great day. 16 bass, 8 calico, 2 perch. Mostly on jerkbaits. Most bass were 14 to 16". Couple calico were 12"

Guys do the same on the Pack. You just need to find prime spawning areas.
