Well we got our first yak trip in. Of course it was windy and it rained which is great fun, not. The rod was excellent, as good as anything I have owned previously. Casts smooth, you feel every little bump and good back bone. I liked it so much I might find something medium action. So far so good...

Went back to Tobyhanna. Again it was dead. We know where to fish it and before long we found them. I had 6-7 and Shiela had a few of course. 2 boats in the water and one had to troll right where we were casting and Shiela caught his line. 5 total people, 2 boats on the water and the boater snags...

Tobyhanna is chock full of Pickerel early to mid May. I've had 40+ in an outing. Mostly small ones but the occasional beast exists. Lots of fun on trout gear.

We like Belmont. It's out there and quiet. We haven't landed any monsters but plenty of multi-species days when we go.

One piece fresh or salt. I don't like breaking rods down, casting the top half or lining up guides every so often. I hate fitting 4-5 1 piece set ups in my SUV though. I have a 3 piece salt and a 2 piece fresh travel set up IF I ever go on vacation some where sunny again.
