Can do more than line twist but line memory is the biggest.

If your getting knots and tangles on your spool you not picking up the slack in the line. Another reason why I close my bail with my hand on spin.

Its not about the reel being good its about adequate in taking care of your line.

How do you cast with one hand and with the other on the crank. Haha. Sounds like a hard cast to do. ;)

So that’s what that funny lever is called on one of my spinning reel. Never used it. If you know a spinning reel you should never wind in to lock your bail. You should always close it yourself.

You sure your allowed to keep them. There’s open year round fishing for approved trout waters but your not allowed to keep them until opening.

HD was there head shakes or not. Sometimes carp will give a couple small one. Turtles and cats don’t. Always fun guessing on what it could have been. Sure is a good story to tell how the big one got away haha.

I’m with bootfoot. I get a reel and rod for the fish I’m going after then I make it do the cast I want. Never had just a specific rod for how I’m casting or what I’m putting on it. For species yes.

When you fish for some species you get a feel for what they do. Carp jump. Catfish go deep. Turtles don’t fight you drag them in. So if it went deep prob a cat but sometimes you get a surprise.

Looks heavy wait until you have to walk lol. 🥱
