Mr twister. Lol. Same thing I used bare hook a couple splits and just wind in. Mine was grey with silver glitter.
If I go for large mouth in the lakes and really wanna catch one I’ll use my small curly tail grub and do the same thing. Still do it.
So does anyone here ever do this. I try to do it once in awhile but I think I need to practice this more. As for minnow buckets I always bleach down and wash out.

Talking about a line counter like this not one built on the reel. If you get one on the reel it’s more for trolling or fishing deep waters like the ocean.
From pic it does look like it but only you will be able to tell I always like under spooling my reels. You can buy a cheap line counter that might help you put line on.
Every time you change weights or lure your tension bar should always be adjusted. Remember the tip on how to adjust it. With the lure at the top of the rod push button and loosen the tension bar until the lure slowly falls.
