I’m surprised you didn’t want any. Those craws are deadly for a bunch of species. all in one day and on the same craw I caught a walleye, musky, and smallmouth.

As for any lure whatever it’s called. Can work great on some days and then may never work again. 🙃 Some may just never work.

Looking for a new battery. What’s your guys advice on a new one. Looking just to power a fish finder and trolling motor. The last one was big and heavy so looking for a smaller lighter one. I see interstate and deka already suggested.

Does it have to be brass beads. I just went to hobby lobby and got some metal beads. Brand is metal gallery a pack is 100 some beads for around $3. They also work on some hooks for bead heads.

Anywhere from size 12 to 8/0. If your using worms for them I usually push them up the line a little then a wrap on the hook.

What bait are you using. I pretty much just use circle

A nice size cooler with a bag of ice. I usually like to clean them or if filleting them just ice the fillets.

I was thinking that’s what your going for a worm harness. Add some beads and a blade on it. Also could make a good quick rig with a nice big chub on it.

It all depends on how you fish for them. If trolling a baitcaster works but if casting I wouldn’t recommend it. Baitcaster you can’t really throw out small baits unless you have some good weight on it. As for heavy lines any reels should be rated to hold the line.

You guys would hate getting into the musky fishing. Sucks when you buy a $30 lure to loose it in 2casts. :mad:🤬

My baitcaster has 20lb mono backing then 80lb braid. I keep my thumb on it just in case of a bad cast. Other than that no problems.

Catfish love muddy and murky waters. Best time to fish for them. Scent helps for them but not needed. As for trolling for others I think color would be better to go by.
