Colors mean everything sometimes. You’ll be surprised especially in dark color waters. Usually the bright clear water use brighter colors, darker color waters use darker colors.

No need to paint or color the plain ones. I never do.

The second butyou want some hook point showing are you could miss some fish on your hookset.

It’s a larger setup and can handle throwing those big Muskie lures. Instead of spinning gear it takes a little more out of you. Plus the advantage of throwing the lure further with baitcaster.

As for different hooks.

I like to stick with more natural colors. Or clear or light with a lot of glitter. I make my own so I make a bunch for different days.

Now in the fall. Watch cause I think the season closes for a little bit.

I usually just run my curly tail grubs on plain hooks so I know what your saying. Even with all that special stuff they still get beating up after a couple fish attack them. So they can be a pain sometimes sliding around.

I would second tiger. Think the colors are like that since it’s changing to fall/winter colors. Although I’ve caught some nice browns that look like tigers. I could never tell the two apart.

Talking a little about bikes anyone ever see those electric bikes. They look like they be great for those long trails. Stick a rod rack and a crate on the back and looks like you could go for miles. The only problem is they are so dang expensive.
